Modern Grey & White Bathroom in Ballina 
This outdated 80s' bathroom in Ballina NSW had a large room area but the poor bathroom design made the floor space feel cluttered and dysfunctional. The step and hobs around the bath and shower made it difficult to clean and were a tripping hazard.

Our bathroom design keeps the plumbed fixtures in the same place but incorporates good design practices to make the bathroom accessible and user friendly. A freestanding bath and walk in shower creates a spacious floor plan.

We used the following design tricks to make the space look and feel bigger.
  • Floor to ceiling tiles - provides a cohesive look.
  • Majority of the wall tiles are white - white reflects light and opens the space, making it feel airy.
  • Large tiles - grout lines visually break up a space, the use of large format tiles means less grout lines.
  • Freestanding bath 
  • Walk in shower with clear glass panel
  • Large mirror - mirrors bounce and reflect light.
  • The window was replaced to keep the colour scheme flowing. If the old brown window frame was kept, it would have been visually distracting.
